Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen
- music films in Robertson

April-May 2008. Robertson Community Cinema will screen two exciting music films in April and May. Fans of Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen should make sure to put these 2 dates in their diaries:

Saturday April 19th 7.30pm – Walk the Line
Saturday May 17th 7.30pm – Leonard Cohen - I’m Your Man

Walk the Line stars Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter. This is the story of the legendary 'Man in Black' - his music, his message and the greatest love of his life. Joaquin and Reese do a fantastic job with their performances of Johnny Cash songs.

And speaking of legends, Leonard Cohen – I’m Your Man is a tribute to the 'Prince of Bummers'. Since 1967, Leonard has inspired generations with his unique personality and haunting music. Includes interviews with Cohen and friends as well as clips from a Sydney Opera House concert where fellow Canadian musicians performed Cohen songs. The movie ends with U2 performing 'Tower of Song' with the man himself.
