Photo competition 2008
results and exhibition

The 2009 CTC Photo Competition photos are on public exhibition at the CTC - Wednesday to Saturdays, as per normal opening hours. All are welcome to have a look.

In keeping with 2008 being the International Year of the Potato, the theme was anything to do with potatoes. Although the number of entries was not high (please remember to enter next year's competition, folks!) the standard was very good.

The judge was Mrs Toni Valentine, President of the Southern Highlands Photographic Society. She chose the winning entry to be "Vincent's Potato Eaters and Lale's Potatoes" - a still life photograph by Judy Benjamin (pictured).

More . . .

Music nights
now twice a month

From March 2008, the music nights at the CTC take place on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month (public holidays excepted). The next session will be on Thursday, 27 March - join us from 7pm for a great night of jamming and listening!

New format for music night includes an open mike session from 7.30 until 9.30 with performers booking in to play. This is followed by a jam session. The IT room will be closed at 7pm, but the two cafe computers will cater for anybody needing to surf the net during the night.

The music night dates for the next couple of months are: March 27, April 10, 24, May 8, 22, June 12 and 26.

Attention all Chess Players

We now have 2 chess sets available at the CTC. Come along and have a game. Would you like to start a chess club?
