Volunteering at CTC@Robertson - so many different things to do!
In addition to one part-time paid manager, CTC@Robertson has a fabulous volunteer staff of about twenty people. We are constantly looking for responsible and friendly people to work in the CTC - in the cafe, in IT and office duties, organising the cinema performances, gardening, cleaning - you name it! If you are interested and available for a couple of hours a week on a regular basis, please get in touch. You can download a pdf version of the volunteer application form (97 KB) or pick up a copy from the centre. We'll be in touch about a possible interview, where you also can ask questions about volunteering in the centre.
"There are so many different things to do as a volunteer here, learn to use the coffee machine and serve coffee in the cafe, use your computer skills to help people use the Internet, serve as a member of the Management committee, assist with art exhibitions, learn to use the equipment to do printing jobs, help in the garden, and more", explains the current manager, past volunteer Karen Mewes.
Sheila helps people use the computers and other equipment in the Centre. "I like volunteering in at the CTC because it is close to where I live. It also keeps me in touch with the community and with technology. I enjoy the friendly and supportive surroundings", says Sheila.
