We all face challenges. There is no one right way to react and we need to regularly check on our mental wellbeing, which is often misunderstood. According to the World Health Organization, it is “a state in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.”
But sometimes, it is hard to cope, and we don’t always understand what we are feeling or how to respond. While it may seem that there are lots of ways we can improve how we are feeling, connecting to the right support for yourself or others can be overwhelming.
